What makes the Sony A1 amazing? Its not 8k!

This week Sony has announced the new A1 mirrorless camera. This is a unique camera featuring a 50 megapixel, stacked CMOS sensor. This combined with the latest Bionz XR processor will allow a 1.5x readout speed improvement over the A9 sensor. This means we get flash sync speeds now of 1/400 sec (1/500 in APS-C crop mode). It is capable of shooting burst speeds up to 30fps, black out free. We now have flash with electronic shutter as well.

In addition we now get 8k video at 30p with 30 min of record time. Of course we get oversampled 4k as well at 120p. This is a serious camera and is by far the most "flagship" Sony mirrorless camera to date. Competing with the Canon R5, this is a camera that actually performs as spec'd.
