EQ is an art form in itself and one that requires an ear that has listened to hours of audio in a DAW. It's not something you need to start playing with unless you know what you need to correct or add. When you add one thing, you're subtracting something else so balance is key afterall you are adjusting the frequency pickup of a microphone's frequency balance.
