(THIS IS THE TRANSCRIPT FOR ARIRANG NEWS THAT AIRED ON 27 Aug 2013- 06:00 KST.)
Title: Headlines
Coming up on this Tuesday edition of Day Break,... Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe says he wants to meet with his Korean and Chinese counterparts to improve ties with neighboring countries. This follows Seoul's lukewarm response to an earlier offer for talks at next month's G20 Summit.
With the two Koreas back on a path of dialogue and cooperation, Beijing's top nuclear envoy arrives in Pyongyang, where he will likely urge North Korea to recommit to the six-party talks aimed at denuclearizing the Korean peninsula.
Plus,... with reports that Washington and allies are seriously considering a military action on Syria, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry calls the recent video footage of the Assad regime's alleged chemical attack on civilians "undeniable," saying President Obama will soon decide on a response. Day Break begins now.
