Responding to William Branham Worshippers:
The False Labelling of Pastor Moses Alu as “Judas”
The recent attempt by some followers of William Marrion Branham to label Pastor Moses Alu as “Judas” is not only biblically irresponsible but also spiritually dangerous. Such language reveals more about the spirit behind the accusation than about the man being accused.
1. Disagreement Is Not Betrayal
In Scripture, Judas Iscariot was called a betrayer because he knowingly sold Jesus Christ for money and handed Him over to death (Matthew 26:14–16).
Pastor Moses Alu has done no such thing.
Exposing false doctrine, questioning extra-biblical claims, or rejecting the deification of a man is not betrayal—it is obedience to Scripture.
“Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” (1 Thessalonians 5:21)
Calling someone “Judas” simply because they refuse to bow to William Branham elevates Branham to a position he never biblically qualified for.
2. The Real Issue: Branham Has Been Made an Idol
The harsh reaction from Branham worshippers exposes the core problem:
William Branham has been turned into an untouchable figure.
Question Branham → you are cursed
Criticize Branham → you are Judas
Reject Branham → you are an enemy of God
This is cult behavior, not Christianity.
True Christianity allows Christ-centered correction. The apostles themselves were questioned (Acts 17:11). Even Paul was publicly corrected (Galatians 2:11).
Why then is Branham above correction?
3. Jesus, Not Branham, Is the Standard
Pastor Moses Alu stands on a simple biblical truth:
“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” (1 Timothy 2:5)
Branham is not a mediator.
Branham is not Elijah returned.
Branham is not the final voice of God.
Any movement that treats a man as the last revelation has already departed from the gospel.
4. Name-Calling Is a Sign of Weak Doctrine
When sound doctrine fails, insults replace Scripture.
Instead of:
Refuting arguments with the Bible
Correcting with love and truth
Some choose:
Name-calling
Character assassination
Spiritual threats
Jesus warned about this spirit:
“By their fruits you shall know them.” (Matthew 7:16)
Truth does not fear examination.
Only error demands silence.
5. Pastor Moses Alu Is Not Judas
Judas betrayed Christ.
Pastor Moses Alu points people back to Christ.
Judas loved money.
Pastor Moses Alu loves biblical truth.
Judas worked in secrecy.
Pastor Moses Alu speaks openly with Scripture.
The comparison is false, malicious, and rooted in emotional loyalty to a man, not loyalty to Jesus Christ.
Conclusion
The church does not need Branham defenders; it needs Bible believers.
It does not need intimidation; it needs truth.
And it does not need false labels; it needs discernment.
Let every doctrine, prophet, and preacher—including William Branham—be tested by the Word of God, not protected by blind devotion.
“If any man preach any other gospel… let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:8)
Christ alone is Lord.
No substitutes.
