Описание: The new STIHL AP 500 S is the most powerful AP battery in the our range, and the first STIHL battery to feature power laminate technology. This battery has flat cells rather than cylindrical cells which help give the STIHL AP 500 S its greater power output and energy density.

It can be used with any STIHL AP System cordless tool, although the AP 500 S is the only battery compatible with the new STIHL MSA 300 cordless chainsaw which requires the 3 kW electrical output from the battery to operate at its full potential.

Flat power laminate cells double the service life of the battery compared to other STIHL AP batteries with round cells – up to 2,400 charge cycles compared with 1,200 charge cycles. In the real world, that means the STIHL AP 300 S has a product life cycle of 5 years, provided that approximately 240 charging cycles are performed per year – one per working day. With double the possible charging cycles, the AP 500 S battery can be used for up to 10 years, when charged once per working day.

When used in other cordless tools, the AP 500 S gives an increase in working time of approximately 20%, for only an extra 200g of weight, making it a cost-effective solution when you consider the extra benefit of working time and charging cycles.

It has a 40% higher power output than the AP 300 S which is why we recommend this is the only battery used with the STIHL MSA 300 chainsaw. If you use it in a less powerful battery-powered chainsaw such as the MSA 220, the power output of the tool will not increase - just the working time.

STIHL Connected is also integrated into the battery, just like STIHL AR 2000 L and AR 3000 L backpack batteries. This allows you to monitor the current charge, total discharge time and track the last connected location of the battery. You just simply open the STIHL connected App next to the battery to download this data. The STIHL AP 500 S battery is compatible with the AL 101, AL 301, AL 301-4 and AL 500 charger unit.
