This question comes up often as I'm teaching and in conversations, and I think there is a lot of truth to it.

Is Reiki dangerous? No - short answer - but longer answer - it can be perceived as dangerous.
Should this be a reason for you NOT to practice? Further, is this a position that has merit, or is it an idea that should get in the way of the practice?
I'm exploring this in this video, and I hope the points I'm making here help everyone on their journey.
Reiki is a deeply healing practice because it allows us to face our shadow. It allows us to "walk through the fire," as Burkowski states. It allows us to face ourselves honestly and from compassionate awareness and neutrality. This is how we heal.
