Porter House 2

Описание: This video was made in November 2025 and preliminary work on the Porter House was ended around the same time. Work is Scheduled now to resume in March of 2026 after a long and harsh winter. Job one will be to remove the diseased tree from the back yard, then bring in an electrician to restore power to the house, and at that point start on a number of smaller projects on the property. The Porter House was rescued just days before demolition and although I can't promise it can be restored, I'm willing to try. There are 30 or more Victorian era homes on College Street. Some are livable and occupied while others are in a similar condition to the Porter House. My hopes are to find others who want to help me with this project. Eldon, my Camera man, was hired by a Supermarket chain full time so anyone who's good at filming videos is welcome to come aboard.

Some have questioned my decision to try to save this faded historic home and I even have myself at times, but I will be very discouraged if I don't at least give it a try. Comments and suggestions are always welcomed-I love to co-miserate with old house restorers. Scio has fallen on hard times in recent years as have numerous small communities in the Ohio River Valley. I've had the privilege to meet some very nice caring people in Scio and they too feel there's lots of opportunities here for Preservation minded people.
