Resist Fear So You Can Hear | Pastor Christine Miller | Wednesday, October 14, 2020

Описание: Fear can come in many forms: worry, anxiety, depression, doubt, and the voice of reason to name a few. II Timothy 1:7 tells us “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” If we are having worried thoughts, those thoughts will drown out the voice of the Holy Spirit, and we won’t be able to hear our answers. In the parable of the sower we see that cares and anxiety will choke the Word, making it unfruitful.
We must be diligent to stay in faith and cast down thoughts of worry and fear. The whole world around us is filled with fear, but we are not of this world. We have a different point of view, seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus (Eph 1:20).
Feed on the Word of God and praise Him. The more you do, you’ll be able to cast down those thoughts of worry and fear. This take practice, but it will yield a rich harvest of peace and joy. Be diligent to stay in faith and resist fear so that you can hear!
