**Note: As of 2021, this siren is now tested on Tuesdays at noon, from March through Oct. due to the siren's testing interrupting park events on weekends during the summer months. The siren at the high school does not work right now.

This practically brand new, extremely potent 2001-130 tornado siren is located at a park in the Village of Richfield. Installed in March of 2017 after placing an order with Federal Signal Corp. for the siren and all the controls in 2016, this siren cost the village $23,681 for everything. It normally sounds for a minute thirty of Alert, but today the wrong tones or button must've been pushed, because this siren did three minutes of Attack, and it was much more than I bargained for. This siren normally runs the steady 'alert' signal for testing, and runs the 'attack' signal here for tornado warnings.

This siren is linked to the one across town at Revere High School, and is unique as it can be sounded be either Richfield police dispatch or Bath Township police. This particular siren covers the Village of Richfield.

This siren, as well as the one at the high school, are tested every Saturday at noon no matter the weather. The only time it isn't tested is during winter.

I took the pictures at the beginning with my Dad's Canon PowerShot SX50 HS and the ones of the controls with my iPhone 7. Video and audio was taken on my Canon Vixia HF-R700 HD camcorder. Not sure where and/or what I'll be recording next weekend, if anything. I still have the fire alarm system to work on.
