La Muse de Rêve | An Animated Short Film

Описание: An artist finds herself at a loss of inspiration until a girl— her muse—appears in her dreams and wakes the creative inspiration that had stayed dormant for so long. What was once dull and gray had become an explosion of color and brightness.

A woman named Ellis finds herself browsing through her artworks in a cafe in what looks to be a washed-out and drafty city. However, she was particularly interested in a sketch of an unknown girl she kept seeing in her dreams. Coincidentally, a person with the same face as the girl in the sketch had passed by just outside the cafe. Ellis starts to follow this person and ends up in a white space with them, where she learns that the person’s name is Carmine. Soon after, the white space was filled with Ellis’s work, which had come to life and now surrounded the entire white space.

Near the end of the story, Ellis and Carmine end up in Ellis’s bedroom, filled with her works of different kinds, such as paintings, drawings, sculptures, music sheets, etc. Ellis discovers something different about her works as she looks through them with Carmine. And just like that, Ellis wakes up from that odd “dream” in the cafe from before. With a sudden burst of inspiration and warmth, Ellis fills the empty spaces of her sketches and drawings with color.
