Описание: It's time we stopped looking at vulnerabilities as numbers and statistics. When product engineering teams focus purely on finding and fixing bugs, instead of understanding why they crop up in the first place, we turn a blind eye to the very root of our security issues.

Vulnerabilities are a symptom of a larger problem, not the problem itself. Security and development teams need to study patterns in where their vulnerabilities are the most serious or the most numerous, and focus on fortifying and strengthening the security posture of their app, rather than 'plugging holes' in the attack surface of the application.

In this video Rahul Raghavan speaks about the current AppSec landscape as a whole, and what we could be doing to better understand how our applications interact with their security flaws.
