So, you want to know what your 3 month old should be doing? Hopefully – smiling – because that makes up for some sleepless nights. Other real milestones you might see around this age are:
• Reaching at dangling objects
• Imitating sounds (possibly even babbling)
• Looking towards sounds
• Watching faces
• Grasping hand toys
Remember, babies often skip milestones and just because one baby does something, doesn’t mean yours will at the same time. As a parent or caregiver, you’ll want to keep up the tummy time, and logging lots of face-time with the baby, cooing, smiling and making faces. Be patient, but if you’re at all concerned, talk to your pediatrician.
