If you’re caring for an elderly person who gets sick or injured, you can go to the urgent care or ER. The number of urgent care centers in both urban and rural areas in the U.S. is growing rapidly. These centers are filling a gap caused by the shortage of primary care doctors and long waits people experience at their doctor’s offices and in ERs. Urgent care centers are not for life-threatening conditions, but they certainly fill an important role in our current medical care environment. This video helps seniors determine when to go to the urgent care or ER, what they offer, and why not all urgent care facilities are the same.
