This is my unusual collection of MPC guitars. The vast majority of the MPC's produced were either the LP style or Outlaw series, and it seems the guitars I have been drawn to are the more uncommon models.
X810 is a dressy Semi Hollow model in a Sunburst finish, tree of life inlay on fretboard, tortoise binding on the body, neck and F holes, Bookmatched Maple top and back. These, along with it's brother the X810n in Natural Blonde Maple, do not come up for sale too often.
X730 Outlaw, Unique Original Neck-Through design that features Mahogany throughout, as well as the then new MPC electronics. Most common MPC I own, but a real nice player.
X910 'Derringer' Explorer Style MPC, seldom seen and a real looker.
X120 Leslie West MPC, Another original body style, and the only Electra model that was made in this shape. Mahogany body, I think the neck is Maple. One of the few MPC's that used a standard three way pickup selector switch as opposed to the 5-way rotary knob. Has an unusual bayonet neck with no heal. A real treat if you get the chance to play one.
There were 5 LP style MPC's, 4 Outlaw guitars, 2 Outlaw Basses, 4 Vulcan MPC's, 2 Semi Hollow models, a X960 Ultima, the X910 Explorer and the X120 Leslie West model. So quite a variety of models, and while none of them would be considered common, the X810, X910 and X120 are probably the rarest of the group, the possible exception would be the X740 all Maple Outlaw with Walnut stripes laminated in.
