Why I Don't Talk About "Affirming" Churches | A Therapist Explains

"Why don't you every mention churches that affirm queer people"

And I do not usually answer, for a lot of reasons. Not the least of which is because this channel has become a place where people can feel safe to tell their stories, and it is not ok with me to have that invaded by giving airtime to make people feel better about their own faith.

But a lot of you asked, and so here we are.

I don't think this video is going to make me any friends. It will probably lose me a few. But also, It needs to be said. So here it is. #askatherapist #lgbt #affirming
