According to industry scooper Daniel Richtman, Marvel Studios is reportedly moving forward with an X-Force movie, while another major rumor suggests Lanterns star Aaron Pierre could be stepping into the role of Black Panther in Avengers: Secret Wars.

🧨 X-FORCE & Deadpool Rumors
Marvel Studios is rumored to be developing X-Force as part of the post-Secret Wars MCU, which is expected to function as a soft reboot for the franchise. The Multiverse may still exist, allowing X-Force to operate in a parallel reality, separate from the upcoming X-Men reboot being directed by Jake Schreier.

This approach would position Deadpool as a supporting player rather than the central focus, while still allowing Ryan Reynolds to continue shaping the character’s future. The next Deadpool project is reportedly Reynolds’ top priority once he wraps his MCU return in Avengers: Doomsday, which hits theaters on December 18.

🐾 From Green Lantern to Black Panther?
Another major rumor claims Marvel Studios has met with several actors, including Aaron Pierre (Rebel Ridge, Lanterns), about taking over as the next Black Panther in Avengers: Secret Wars. Pierre currently stars as John Stewart in DC’s Lanterns, making this a wild potential crossover moment for the actor.

The report suggests Marvel plans to introduce a new Black Panther during Secret Wars, possibly set on Battleworld, creating the perfect opportunity to age up Toussaint, T’Challa’s son, who debuted in Wakanda Forever. From there, the character could remain Black Panther in the newly rebooted MCU, leading directly into Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther threequel.
