The Bluetooth® Hands-free System enables you to make and receive wireless calls with hands-free convenience. These controls allow you to operate the Bluetooth® system from your steering wheel. Press the PHONE SEND button to set up the voice recognition system or to answer an incoming call. This button can also be used to enter commands during a call.

To operate the voice recognition system, press and release the PHONE SEND button. After the tone sounds, speak a command. The command given is picked up by the microphone and voice feedback is provided when the command is accepted.

To connect a phone using the Bluetooth system, the vehicle must be stationary. First, press the PHONE SEND button. The system announces the available commands. Say: "Connect Phone". The system acknowledges the command and announces the next available set of commands. Say:"Add Phone". The system acknowledges the command and asks you to initiate connecting from the phone handset. The connecting procedure of the cellular phone varies according to each cellular phone model. Refer to the cellular phone's Owner's Manual or visit www.nissanusa.com/Bluetooth for further instruction.

When prompted for a Passkey code, enter "1234" from the handset. The Passkey code has been assigned by NISSAN and cannot be changed. The system will then ask you to say a name for the phone. If the name given is too long or too short, the system will alert you and prompt you for a name again.

To make a call once a phone has been connected, press the PHONE SEND button. When the tone sounds, say "Call". The system acknowledges the command and announces the next set of available commands.

To make a call by entering a phone number, say "Phone Number" and the system will then prompt you to speak the number you wish to call. When you have finished speaking the number, the system will repeat it back and announce the next available set of commands. Say "Dial" and the system will make the call.

To make a call using an entry stored in the phonebook, say "Name". The system will then prompt you to speak the name of the phonebook entry to call. The system acknowledges the name. If there are multiple locations associated with the name, the system will ask you to choose the correct location. Once the name and location have been confirmed, the system begins the call.

To receive a call, press the PHONE SEND button when you hear the ring tone.

To end a call, press the PHONE END button. You can also use this button to go back a step in a voice recognition menu. To exit the voice recognition system at any time, press and hold the PHONE END button for 5 seconds.

When you choose a compatible brand and model, the website leads you to its unique Bluetooth® Setup Guide. It tells you how to "prepare your phone," "prepare your vehicle" and "pair your phone." Depending on the Bluetooth® System included in your vehicle, the terminology may either be "pairing" or "connecting." Up to five compatible phones can be added and each can have its own phonebook, created using your Setup Guide's instructions.

Here are some helpful tips to get the most out of your Bluetooth® system.

[] Download and follow your phone model's online User's Setup Guide to initiate the system's convenient features, step by step.
[] When using the Bluetooth® system, keep the interior of your vehicle as quiet as possible.
[] Wait until the system tone sounds before speaking a command.
[] Start speaking within five seconds after the tone.
[] Speak in a natural voice without pausing between words.
