AI Impact Summit Impact: 86 nations unite on AI governance, endorse New Delhi declaration

Описание: Major global consensus on artificial intelligence has emerged from New Delhi.
Eighty-six countries and two international organisations endorsed the New Delhi Declaration on AI Impact at the AI Impact Summit held from February 16 to 20.
The declaration positions artificial intelligence as both a driver of economic growth and a shared global responsibility. Rooted in the principle of “Sarvajan Hitaya, Sarvajan Sukhaya” — welfare for all — the agreement calls for deeper international cooperation and a multi-stakeholder model of AI governance.
Major economies including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, China, Denmark and Germany supported the declaration.
The framework outlines seven pillars, or “Chakras,” focusing on human capital development, equitable access to AI infrastructure, trust and safety standards, energy efficiency, scientific collaboration, resource democratisation, and economic growth aligned with social good.
