Elements of radio frequency communication systems: modulation/demodulation strategies, transmission-channel impairments, performance criteria, hardware (low-noise amplifiers, mixers, oscillators), digital back-end, contemporary case studies.
RF systems are central to the wireless revolution that is changing our world. EE544 is a first-year graduate course at the subsystem and component level and covers many territories. It deals with designing and analyzing practical CMOSRF circuit-level implementations of functional blocks of RF communications systems.
