Easy and fast way to bring spring inside. These insturctions helps you to get the most out of your tulips.
1. When choosing your tulips from the store, pick one with firm buds and avoid the ones which have fallen petals or are drooping.
2. Use a sharp knife to cut off a few centimeters from the stems of the tulips, but do not remove the plastic wrap around the tulips (For this video I cut the stems without plastic around them for practical reasons). Cut the stems straight not diagonally.
3. Pour 10 centimeters of cold water into the vase. If water is too deep, the stem grows too much and loses its firmness. Put the tulips in a vase with their plastic wrap. This helps the tulips to keep their firmness.
4. Remove the plastic wrap and cut off the leaves that are below the water surface. Arrange the flowers in a vase.
5. Change the water daily. Tulips thrive in the cool and if you keep them warm during the day, you should move them to a cool place for the night.
