Porter Robinson reveals which of his own songs he likes best, and his favorite animes

He was asked:
"Out of the songs you've made, what song is your favorite? Are there any of your songs that you especially treasure? You’ll visit Osaka and Tokyo this summer but are there any other places that you want to visit? I love anime, too! What anime do you like most?"

Here's how he responded:
"Hello Mikuko-san. Thank you so much for your question. It was a lot of questions so I will go through all of them. Which song of mine is my favourite?. My favourite song is definitely "Sad Machine." It's the one that is closest to my heart and it's the one that's most touching to me. It just makes me happy. I feel like it summarises the style of "Worlds" but it also has what I think is a strong concept which is the robot duet with the human voice. That's something that was fun for me to explore. It was also cool for me to get to use vocaloid so I'd say "Sad Machine" is probably the dearest to me. Off of "Worlds" my favourites are "Sad Machine", "Divinity", "Goodbye to a World", "Fresh Static Snow" and then before then I think "Easy" and "Language" are still very very dear to me as well and it makes me so happy that people love those ones. I'll visit Osaka and Tokyo and I don't know if there are any other places that I'll visit. I have a very very busy schedule when I am in Japan. I'll be taking lots of meetings. I'll be meeting Japanese artists. I'll be taking business meetings as well as meeting with artists who I admire so I don't think that I will visit outside of Osaka and Tokyo but I want to in the future. Let's see last (part of the) question. What anime do I love most? My favourites of all time are Anohana. I actually don't know the Japanese name for it.. it's "Wolf Children" in English. I think it's like Okami ame to yuki or something like that? I think that's it? I love hanasaku iroha and most recently I really love shirobako and ore monogatari it's really funny and I really love it! Those are my favourites as of the last couple of years I think yeah and it's always so fun for me to get to go to Japan.
I always go to Akiba and I get to buy lots of toys and t-shirts.
