Nobody's making gelato in the southeast so we, you know, we were all doing different things at a certain point in our lives, at that point in our lives, and we said why not us? This is fun, it's different, we get to do something where we can be hands-on, we can be creative, and just make people happy.

My name is Wes Jones I am the co-founder and CEO of Honeysuckle Gelato. The numbers would show that the majority of our business right now is in the metro area, but we sell to stores in Alabama, Tennessee, North and South Carolina, and Florida and we're looking to grow that. I think working with the University of Georgia SBDC the main-- main
takeaways I've learned are just how to plan financially for your business.

The University of Georgia SBDC has helped us set a framework that has really helped us achieve the goals we've set over the last two and a half years and helped us set really large and what we think are now realistic goals for our future. We have six full-time employees and about 15 part-time employees which, when we started working with the University of Georgia SBDC, there were four of us total. So I see our work with the University of Georgia SBDC in the future being a critical piece to our success. Keeping them as a critical part of our growth is going to be vitally important for us to achieve our goals.
