Today I created what I like to call a Steampunk-inspired card using the Gears & Textures bundle from Stampin’ Up!
This project was inspired by the Steampunk Festival held in my local area, with its mix of industrial textures, earthy tones, and metallic elements. I used Crumb Cake for the card base, Early Espresso for the layer, and Nature’s Walk Designer Series Paper for the top layer.
The Designer Series Paper was stamped using a combination of Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Pecan Pie, and Gray Granite, adding depth and a worn, vintage feel. To complete the steampunk look, I die cut the gears using Gold, Silver, and Bronze Foil, which really brings that industrial metallic vibe to life.
This card is perfect if you enjoy creating more masculine or industrial-style projects, or if you’re looking for inspiration to step outside traditional card designs. I was so happy with how this one turned out and hope it sparks some ideas for your own crafting.
