We are thrilled to share memories from our first group safari to Shompole Wilderness Camp, set in the remote and breathtaking South Rift Valley of Kenya.

This hidden gem, nestled between the Loita Hills and Lake Magadi, is a place of incredible contrasts — sweeping savannahs, dramatic escarpments, and the life-giving waters of the Ewaso Ng’iro River.

Guided by Tour Leader Neal Cooper, our guests experienced a side of Kenya far removed from the crowds — photographing from hides, and enjoying close encounters with elephants, lions, and the dazzling birdlife of the Rift Valley.

Evenings at the hides were spent under a sky ablaze with stars, waiting for the next incredible sighting of animals you would not typically see on a game drive.
