Recorded October 6, 1990, this is a behind-the-scenes look at a radio station more than thirty years ago, featuring yours truly when my mustache was still brown.
Yes, I sure DO mumble. This video is a bit over a year from the end of a 17-year broadcasting career, primarily in Panama City but also including 3-year stints in Las Vegas and the megalopolis known as Marianna, Florida.
At this point in my life, I worked two full-time jobs plus overtime, sometimes putting in over 90 hours per week. I'd get off here at 6AM and begin my second job at 7:30AM, often catching some shut-eye in the parking lot of my other job before clocking in.
This was part of a video letter I'd done for a buddy I worked with at WDLP in 1975.
Watching this in 2022, just now, is strange. It was half my lifetime ago, and I wish I were as young as the guy in the video.
