Tension escalates in Parliament as the Opposition is mulling moving a no-confidence motion against Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. The opposition, led by the Congress, accuses the Speaker of institutional bias and 'gagging' the Leader of the Opposition, Rahul Gandhi. Adil Singh Boparoi, Spokesperson for Congress, stated, 'The Parliament of India has been reduced into a notice board courtesy of the BJP and their strong arm tactics.' He further alleged that the Speaker has failed his duty to remain impartial. Conversely, BJP Spokesperson Sanju Verma defended the Speaker, citing his sweeping constitutional powers under Articles 93 and 94, and dismissed the opposition's claims as 'balderdash.'
