When I was a child growing up in Brooklyn, my fondest memories are those of my sisters and my brother my mom and my dad in the apartment with food cooking on the stove. There was always some sort of dough rising with somebody cutting out cookies or sewing a new dress. For me It was magical
Yes, there are cynics who will say “come on, Life isn’t always wine and roses”
They are the fools
Of course, no life is perfect and life is bittersweet.
All families have problems
ups and downs and yes, skeletons in the closet.
The ones who can admit to this are free and also hold memories full of magic.
The others who point fingers are throw stones are the true suffers, unfortunately the sad, pathetic ones.
From my Brooklyn perspective.
I never get tired of creating these timeless Santa cookies.
I started using Brown bag Cookie Art molds decades ago and never tired of them. For me, they are nostalgic, something you would find in a sweet shop while Charles Dickens writes his Christmas Carol.
