As part of Sen. Jose “Ka Pepe” Diokno’s Centennial Celebration, Atty. Theodore Te, a human rights lawyer, tells how Ka Pepe inspired him to continue with law school and become a lawyer. He shares how he learned a lot from Ka Pepe by reading his speeches, going over his trial forms, and using them in his practice. Ka Pepe taught him that it is important to persevere and that the change we want to bring about does not come quickly, and it is something we need to work on constantly and consistently. Atty. Te is a volunteer human rights lawyer at Free Legal Assistance Group (FLAG), a nationwide legal assistance group founded by Ka Pepe, specializing in human rights cases.
