The history of the Place Vendôme starts with Louis XIV and, in its center, the Vendôme column measured the rise and fall of every past regime. Since its re-erection in 1873, the Vendôme column has been exposed to sun and rain, and was starting to rust and crack. In 2015, the Comité Vendôme founded in 1936 and the Ritz Paris organized its restoration.
In fact, members of the Comité Vendôme have always been working together to guard the French crafts and to continue the legend of the Place Vendôme. Hantang Culture heads to Paris on a special project of the documentary A World of Excellence, in which we interview the president, some business owners and directors of the Comité Vendôme who are the real guardians of legendary square.
