Описание:
Part 2 of the Interview by Alda and Ron Smith with Jesse Hendrix, Ralph D. Smith's foxhole buddy during WW2 in 1945 who lived in Villa Rica, Georgia. He was also the person who gave Ralph all of the lyrics of comrades that were collected during his travels in hopes that Ralph would put some of them to music and record them after the war. Most of the hand written songs or poems were unsigned. Also in Part 2 Jesse shares stories and displays many of the items that he acquired and shipped back to the US as souvenirs or keepsakes.
After the war Jesse returned to his home in Georgia and married his wife, Betty and raised four daughters. Interesting to note that Ralph returned after the war to his home in Greenville SC and married his wife, Faye Laws, and had raised four Boys.
Jesse became a home builder and was the president of the Georgia Homebuilders Association during the years Jimmy Carter was Governor and was a personal friend of Jimmy Carter.
*** Per notes of Alda Smith.
