Here is the history of Pickerings lifts.
Pickerings started making lifts in 1854.
In 1888 Pickerings made their first electric lift
In 1896 they made their first automatic push button lift. This was very advanced for the time.
1950s - In the late 1950s Pickerings made swing door lifts that did not have an inner door.
1960s -
1970s -
1980s - Pickerings made rather grey lifts
1990s - Pickerings made small hydraulic lifts
present day - Pickerings are not doing very well. In the past they were such a big company but today they are a small company. I have not been in a single modern day pickerings.
