Описание: Today’s video features the Buffalo Heritage Carousel, a stand-alone attraction located in Buffalo, New York. Built in 1924 by Spillman Engineering, the carousel first operated in Massachusetts under the DeAngelis family before spending a collective six decades in storage. In 2021, the carousel reopened to the public in its current location in an effort to revitalize the riverfront. It features a rich menagerie of carvings, including a lion, an ostrich, a tiger, three separate chariots, and even a dragon. Of note, the dragon serves as the carousel’s designated lead horse. Though not beyond the scope of restoration, the original lead horse instead adorns a corner of the pavilion (as the decision was made to preserve the final layer of paint applied by the DeAngelis family). Footage was obtained on 05/27/2023, during my respective visit. Any music appearing in the background belongs to its respective owners.
