Sherpa Sili Dance: From Bride’s Home to Groom’s House
“Sili dance is a traditional Sherpa wedding dance performed by the groom’s team to the rhythm of cymbals (Jyamta), with yak-tail decorations and ceremonial knives, after receiving blessings from the elders of both families and exchanging rings. The procession then continues from the bride’s home to the groom’s house.”
