We join Edge and his childhood friend Reimi as they travel around the Star Ocean. The meet lots of lifeforms and gain allies like Faize an Eldarian who thinks highly of Edge and has many talents and Lymle a 15 year old girl whose body is still as a 6 year old, who has a dark past as to why she hardly shows emotion and why her body has not grown, and has talent in symbology and they meet many more.
