This video is a tongue in cheek introduction to an innovative experiment in which students prove for themselves, Kepler's First and Second Laws.
Kepler speaks for himself, providing our SMAP students the opportunity to hear it from the man; the changes in cosmology across time, past and present, of our ideas about planetary motion.
Join us and hear the stories behind the story; the progression of theories of celestial mechanics, suspicion of foul play, and the ah-ha moment, all told. Kepler recounts early theories of orbital motion and sets in perspective the models that led up to his final realization that orbits are not circular!
