My light died, my power bank scraped itself down the road, my mic launched off the bike like it was trying to escape… and then the apps sent me down every creepy canal in Birmingham.

But hey, that’s courier life. Honest, chaotic, slightly terrifying… and sometimes weirdly fun.

In this episode of Brum Eats, I’m out on Deliveroo & Uber Eats on a cold Monday night. I get thrown all over the city: co-op runs, Christmas market detours, canals, parks, pitch-black shortcuts and one delivery that fully cleared me out.
