Описание: Meeting the long-term water demands of the Greater Houston region requires considerable planning, major investment, and construction ingenuity. Flintco Industrial and parent company Alberici, working in a self-perform capacity alongside an Alberici Millwright crew, devised and executed the complex installation of 4 dewatering centrifuges – the largest in the world with each weighing 30 tons at a dimension of 28’L x 8’H x 7’W – into a nearly complete building, part of the Northeast Water Purification Plant (NEWPP) for the City of Houston. After safely flying the units onto a lower exterior roof using a 275 ton crawler crane, our team used an “air skate” system with loading beams and extremely high air pressure to carefully “float” the unwieldy centrifuges, which separate solids from liquid during the dewatering process, 200 feet inside the building and set securely into place. The $1.8 billion design-build project will add 320 million gallons per day by 2024 to the existing plant’s capacity, “resulting in a shift from historical groundwater usage to a predominant reliance on surface water,” according to the City of Houston. Commissioning on the plant is slated to begin in early 2022. #FlintcoIndustrial #safetyworkshere #Flintco4LIFE
