Biggest hornet nest I've ever seen!
Lots of other cool insects showed themselves too.
It may have been a little too dark to film when I started but I'm glad I went out early. I was able to film some deer before they ladies behind me scared them of with their conversation. Lucky for you I overdubbed better audio. For me to fully enjoy my hikes, I really need to be the first on the trail. Unfortunately I'm slow and stop a lot. That means if I'm in a popular area, people are going to pass me. :/
It was a good day for birders out doing their bird watching. I found quite a variety including a few species of woodpeckers. One was even tagged. A good sign of a rare bird.
