Sonic Mushroom Blast: Legacy is an iteration of Blakeoramo’s total conversion mod, Sonic Mushroom Blast, based on his original 2023 vision for the project—back when it was intended to be an ambitious character hack of the vanilla game rather than a full remix of SM64’s levels, enemies, items, and more.

The mod features a total of 123 stars (one star in BOB is unattainable due to Sonic’s moveset).

There are 4 bonus courses hidden inside the castle: Two Chao Clamor stages, Stardust Speedway, and Emerald Hill Zone as a post-credits bonus. The two Wing Cap stages have been replaced with Sonic R–inspired stages where you race Metal Sonic and collect Sonic R coins.
