Have you had soaping days when you just wanted an easy and well behaved soap? After a rough couple of months, that's exactly what I needed. On my list of "do not wants": acceleration, ricing, morphing, complex pours and swirls, soda ash, glycerine rivers, spills, surprises, and difficult unmolding. Now, is that too much to ask for? I think not.
So
1) I used a well behaved fragrance that I was familiar with.
2) I used micas that behaved. Although greens tend to morph, at least they have the decency to morph back nicely. Thank you greens!
3 I used a recipe that I knew would behave.
4) I didn't used any titanium dioxide. Ha ha! No glycerine rivers!
5) I didn't forget to use sodium lactate. Unmolding would be a snap!
6) I soaped at a sweet spot temperature based on my experience: 75 degrees F.
7) I used an easy to do swirl. I didn't even use a hanger tool. Yes! That would cut down on things I need to wash.
8) I told myself to have a great time!
