A zoo in the UK has welcomed the birth of a rare snow leopard – a species which was thought to be extinct and vulnerable.
It is the first time in nearly a full century that a UK zoo is celebrating the birth of a rare baby snow leopard.
It is the product of a pair of adult snow leopards who were carefully matched as part of an international breeding program aimed at bolstering the species.
