As the day winds down, we search for and find a beautiful off-grid campervan park-up beside a flowing river, spending a peaceful night immersed in nature. This is vanlife at its finest — quiet, remote, and completely disconnected, with nothing but the sound of water and the outdoors around us.

The next day, we lace up our boots and climb Raven Crag, a short but rewarding hike offering stunning views over Thirlmere. This viewpoint is one of the Lake District’s hidden gems and delivers big views with minimal effort — perfect for campervan travellers and hikers alike.

To round off the adventure, we head into Ambleside to visit Stock Ghyll Force, a powerful waterfall just a short woodland walk from the town centre. It’s the perfect finale to an unforgettable Lake District road trip.
