Disaster Camping Trip- Storms, No Gas, and Dead Batteries

We were supposed to spend a few relaxing days paddleboarding on a beautiful lake in Northern California... but instead, I ran out of gas in the middle of nowhere, camped through multiple summer storms, my van battery died, and I ended up stuck at an abandoned gas station that looked like something out of The Walking Dead.

Oh, and my cat Apollo? He went paddleboarding for the very first time. 🐾🚣‍♀️ (He did better than I did, honestly.)

🚫 I run out of gas… and can’t open my emergency gas can
🌩 A surprise summer thunderstorm rolls in right as we set up camp
⚡ My van’s batteries die from days without sun
🦅 We spot multiple bald eagles and a surprise deer near camp
