Hillsboro Airport (KHIO) | The ULTIMATE Pilots Guide to KHIO

Описание: This is our eighth stop on our PNW (Pacific Northwest) trip, follow along as we make our way up to the Seattle area and back down to SoCal!

Fly with us into super busy Hillsboro Airport onto Runway 31L. This airport does transient parking and FBO parking. There are a couple of flight schools at this airport and a main hub for Nike and Intel and is considered the 2nd busiest airport in Oregon!

TRANSIENT PARKING
Transient parking is located on the southwest area of the airport. Reach out to Hillsboro Aviation for more information on transient parking. We couldn’t find any information on the Hillsboro Airport website and got limited information when we called. If you want to park at transient parking, let tower know and ask for progressive taxiing for complete instructions.

FBO
There are three FBOs on field at Hillsboro: Aero Air, Global Aviation and Hillsboro Aviation. We chose Aero Air for this trip and they were amazing! We reserved our rental car through Aero Air and they pulled our car up to the plane. They also offered to help unload our plane. The FBO has a nice pilot room and snacks.

Breakdown of fees for our Piper Arrow III for October 2024
Parking Fee 25.00 (2 nights at $25/night, 1 night was comped with fuel purchase)
Avgas 266.76 (35.1 gallons @ $7.60 gallon)
TOTAL 291.76


FUEL
Full-service fuel is only available through the FBOs. There is no self-service fuel here.

RESTROOMS
Restrooms are located inside the FBOs and airport Terminal.

CREW CAR / CAR RENTAL
Crew cars are available at each of the FBOs. Please be sure to call ahead if you’re interested in a crew car. The FBOs can also help with reserving a rental car for your stay. Aero Air not only rolled out a red carpet for us, they also brought our rental car to our plane for easy luggage transfer! You’ll also find Hertz, Avis and Budget car rentals available at the terminal.

FOOD
There are no restaurants on-site and you won’t find many substantial snacks in the FBO. Grab a rideshare or rental car and make your way into Hillsboro for more food options.
