My name is Stephen and I sell wood products as Dogwood Handcrafts (www.dogwoodhandcrafts.com)
This is my process for making wood/resin hybrid pieces. This was my first time doing a hybrid sphere and I think it went pretty well! The final piece ended up being 3 inches in diameter (7.62 cm).
The device I used for the sphere is the Carter Products sphere jig.

Materials used:
Alumilite Resin
Castin' Crafts dye
Shimmer pearl mica powder
HDPE mold
Thick CA glue
Hook and loop sanding pads 80, 150, 220 grit
Sandpaper 220, 400, 600, 800, 1200 grit
EEE ultra shine polish
Tripoli buffing compound
