Many times I have seen advanced mature bonsai Japanese black pine that are not repotted correctly or at all. Bonsai repotting is essential for the health of the tree. I have found that beginners to bonsai especially are too scared to repot their bonsai properly. This mature bonsai Japanese black pine was acquired a few years ago and was the first time I repotted it.
