Dr. Priya is an emblem of courage, will, and compassion. Being the first transfemale doctor from Kerala, India. Who just not only became a doctor but also broke the stereotypical spine of society. State's first Transgender Doctor, Priya has proved yet again the power of education over all other social restrains. Avowed male at birth, her early ages were a strife against herself and society did not make it any easy for her to win. Making education her utmost priority, Dr. Priya now lives in a society with equals, and has created a path for all the future kids that would not have to fight this battle again. Within history lies historic stories, and hers is definitely one of them. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
