Shalimar Garden – मुगल शान, कश्मीर की जान

डल झील के किनारे बसा शालीमार गार्डन कश्मीर की खूबसूरती, इतिहास और मुगल कला का एक शानदार नमूना है। 1619 में मुगल बादशाह जहांगीर ने अपनी बेगम नूरजहां के लिए इस बाग़ को बनवाया था। कहते हैं कि यह बाग़ सिर्फ एक गार्डन नहीं, बल्कि प्यार की निशानी है — जहाँ हर रास्ता, हर फव्वारा और हर फूल एक कहानी सुनाता है।

शालीमार बाग़ को पारंपरिक मुगल गार्डन स्टाइल में बनाया गया है, जिसमें सीढ़ीनुमा (terraced) बाग़, बहते पानी की नहरें, पत्थर के फव्वारे और चारों ओर हरी-भरी क्यारियाँ शामिल हैं। बाग़ को तीन मुख्य हिस्सों में बाँटा गया है —
1. पब्लिक गार्डन (आम लोगों के लिए)
2. रॉयल कोर्ट (दरबार क्षेत्र)
3. ज़नाना गार्डन (शाही परिवार की महिलाओं के लिए)

हर लेवल ऊपर जाते हुए और भी ज़्यादा शांत, सुंदर और भव्य होता जाता है। बीच में बहती पानी की नहरें और सैकड़ों छोटे-छोटे फव्वारे बाग़ को जीवंत बना देते हैं। जब पानी धूप में चमकता है, तो पूरा गार्डन जैसे रोशनी से भर उठता है।

चारों तरफ ऊँचे चिनार के पेड़ शालीमार की पहचान हैं। खासकर पतझड़ (autumn) में जब इनके पत्ते लाल, सुनहरे और नारंगी हो जाते हैं, तब यह बाग़ किसी पेंटिंग से कम नहीं लगता। वसंत और गर्मियों में रंग-बिरंगे फूलों की खुशबू और हरियाली मन को सुकून देती है।

यह बाग़ सिर्फ देखने की जगह नहीं, बल्कि महसूस करने की जगह है। यहाँ की ठंडी हवा, बहते पानी की आवाज़, पक्षियों की चहचहाहट और पहाड़ों का नज़ारा मिलकर एक ऐसा माहौल बनाते हैं जहाँ समय जैसे धीरे चलने लगता है।

आज शालीमार गार्डन सिर्फ एक ऐतिहासिक स्थल नहीं, बल्कि पर्यटकों, फोटोग्राफरों और प्रकृति प्रेमियों के लिए एक स्वर्ग है। शाम के वक्त जब सूरज की किरणें बाग़ पर पड़ती हैं, तो इसकी खूबसूरती और भी बढ़ जाती है।
