35 Miles Backpacking In The Uintas - Rock Creek Basin, Uintas

It's mid July and I met up with 4 other guys to do a five day tour through Utah's Uinta Mountains. Myself, Tim Watson, Josh Ebersol, Josh Herod and Wasatch Will got together to do a loop through the western section of the High Uintas Wilderness.
The route included starting at the Mirror Lake TH and hiking south toward the West Fork of the Duchesne River. From there we made our way to the north side of Grandaddy Basin, passing by Pinto Lake and Governor Dern Lake. We then worked our way through and past Four Lakes Basin where we climbed over Rocky Sea Pass to do a tour of Rock Creek Basin. Finally we finished the route on the Highline trail back to the car passing by Naturalist Basin.
All in all we ended the trip with nearly 40 miles of trail hiked, and a great experience together as a group of like minded guys enjoying the wild of Utah!
