Explore New England Media will debut its third documentary feature film on May 15 at 9:00 AM on the New England Sports Network (NESN), with three additional airings through the end of the month (schedule below). Check with your local cable provider for channel listing.

"Penobscot County Journal" highlights the many outdoor activities available in Maine’s spectacular Penobscot County throughout the year. These include paddling, hiking, ATV riding, snowmobiling, camping, cross-country skiing, fishing, snowshoeing, boating, wildlife viewing, and more. The film also examines the history and culture of this fascinating slice of New England through the people who live there and know it best.

The film’s cinematic style makes it unique among regional productions, and draws on the work of talented cameramen AJ Derosa, Kevin Erdvig, Zach Hand, and Camden Spear.

“Our team made numerous trips to Penobscot County over the last several years, filming different activities and seasons, yet always discovering a new, exciting facet of this diverse area,” said Explore New England host and producer Tom Richardson. “It’s hard to believe we were able to fit it all into one hour!”
